Mahabharat’s Krishna aka Nitish Bharadwaj announces separation from wife Smita after 12 years of marriage

Nitish Bharadwaj has filed for divorce with wife Smita Gate after 12 years of marriage. The two separated in September 2019, and the actor’s former wife, who is an IAS officer, is presently living in Indore with the couple’s twin daughters. In a recent interview, Nitish has spoken about how divorce can take its toll on people.

The case is under subjudice in the Family Court in Mumbai and hence the actor refrained from talking much about the divorce proceedings. Both Nitish and Smita were married earlier but their earlier relationships also ended on a sad note. However, the actor maintained that he isn’t cynical about marriage and called himself just plain unlucky, but said that it is the children who suffer the most.
