The day 2 at the fourth season of The Wedding Junction, curated by celebrity stylist Shaleena Nathani kick-started on a glamorous note and lived up to the expectations. We witnessed some mesmerizing bridal collection high on motifs and embellishments that were presented to us with a modern twist!

Gone are the days of opting for a standard bridal ensemble and TWJ vouched exactly for this fact. Check out the mesmerizing collection, straight from the runway!

JESAL VORA

Designer Jesal Vora introduced her ‘Ajrak’ collection that was inspired by Kutchi, Rajasthani and Sindhi culture design. It is a unique form of block print design and pattern on the fabric with vegetable dyes and was resurrected by this designer to infuse it in her bridal collection. This collection was high on embellishments, bold and bright colours and block prints.

Showstopper Nupur Sanon made for an exceptionally beautiful bride on the runway and we couldn’t get our eyes off her! She adorned a black and red embellished lehenga choli paired with an encrusted neckpiece and maang tika that accentuated the regality of her look.

AJAY ARVINDBHAI KHATRI

Ajay Arvindbhai Khatri exhibited a splendid portrayal of Indian heritage handcrafted intricately to perfection. We saw a lot of colours, intricate embroidery and traditional turbans formed a part of their collection.

HIRAL KHATRI

Hiral Khatri displayed her collection that was apt for summer weddings. Inspired by the carefree vibe, the collection featured lightweight and contemporary ensembles, modish embroidery and embellishments.    

SIONNAH

Sionnah Pret Couture displayed their collection Noor which was about celebrating the eastern culture with bold colours, frills, layers and embellishments. The designers played with a lot of colours that included subtle pastels, popping yellow and ecstatic emeralds.

Showstopper Karishma Sharma glided on the runway in her green layered lehenga paired with a heavily embroidered cut-out choli. The all-eyes-on-me maang tika was all the accessory she needed with this look.

PRIMA CZAR

Prima Czar showcased their collection ‘Kintsugi’ which is Japanese craft of retouching broken objects using gold or silver epoxy. The collection represents the beauty of flaws and its acceptance as well as coming together of two people, to form something as everlasting and beautiful as a solid marriage. Kintsugi featured bright and bold colours with golden embellishments to stay true to its theme. The colour palate gradually moved from a crisp white to jet black to suave blue and then ravishing green. Silhouettes like velvets and satins were infused in this collection. We saw a lot of kurtas, suits, band galas and sherwanis be a part of this collection.

Showstopper Karan Tacker looked every bit dapper in his heavily embellished green sherwani paired with velvet loafers.

SHEHLA KHAN

Not opting for a quintessential route, designer Shehla Khan embraced white and black in a bridal wardrobe and the results were stunning! Shehla opted for a lot of sequin details, encrusted embellishments, frills, feathers and laces in her festive collection. Frilled sleeves chunky belts and ruffles skirts were also seen in her collection.

Stopping the show Tara Sutaria, who looked breath-taking in her classic white lehenga featuring delicate embroidery and lace detailing.

SIMPLY SIMONE AND ANANTA

Designer Simone Khambatta displayed her collection ‘Sirène’ mermaid collection which was all about luminous colours, high on embellishment haute couture, frills, blings and all things extravagant! Cocktail dresses, slit ruffled lehengas and party gowns formed a part of this collection. Accessories by Ananta added on the glam affair of this soiree.

Ranveer Singh set the runway on fire with his moves and energy and we couldn’t have asked for more! Embellished jackets, metallic sneaker, classy hate and spunky glasses just added glamour to this soiree.

SOLE AFFAIR

Designer Seema Mehra unveiled her The Lucknowi Festive Edit’ at the gala that was high on pastel colours, off shouldered cholis, intricate embroidery and ruffled details.

Showstopper Sonal Chauhan looked like an alluring beauty in the runway in her pastel and lacy lehenga choli with a cape dupatta.

REBECCA DEWAN

Vani Kapoor graced the runway for Rebecca Dewan in an off shouldered bridal red lehenga paired with a sheer dupatta which was infused with sequins and mirror work. A statement-making necklace from Rajesh Tulsiani accentuated the look of her ensemble.
