Kangana Ranaut invited legal trouble for her recent Instagram stories. The actress, who is clearly not satisfied with the Prime Minister of India's decision to repeal the three Farm Laws, indirectly called the farmers' protest a 'Khalistani movement' and farmers "Khalistani terrorists". Multiple FIRs were lodged against Kangana for disrespecting the Sikh community. Now, as per the latest development, the actress has been summoned by the Delhi assembly's panel on peace and harmony over her remarks.

According to a news portal's report, Kangana has been told to appear before the committee headed by Aam Aadmi Party leader Raghav Chadha on December 6. In a notice issued to the Padma Shri recipient, the committee stated, "The committee has received numerous complaints eliciting inter alia, outrageously offensive and derogatory Instagram stories/posts allegedly published by yourself on 20.11.2021 over your official Instagram account."

Reportedly, the summon's document said Kangana's "blanketly labelling (Sikhs) as Khalistani terrorists... has the potential to engender disharmony as well as cause wounding humiliation to the entire Sikh community."

On November 20, Kangana shared a note on her Instagram stories. Praising former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, Kangana wrote, "Khalistani terrorists may be arm twisting the government today. But let's not forget one woman. The only woman prime minister ne inn ko apni jooti ke niche crush kia tha. No matter how much suffering she caused to this nation she crushed them like mosquitoes at the cost of her own life Lekin desh ke tukde nahi hone diye even after decades of her death aaj bhi uske naam se kaampte hai yeh inko vaisa he guru chahiye."

Akali Dal leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa filed a case against Kangana for her remarks. Recently, the Indian Youth Congress (IYC) and the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) also filed a police complaint against her.
