‘We have decided not to talk about Rhea Chakraborty at this moment,’ says Chehre producer Anand Pandit on the actress’ absence from teaser and poster
The team of Chehre has been gearing up for the film’s release and although first looks and posters of Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi have been released, one person who is missing from the poster as well as the teaser is Rhea Chakraborty. With the trailer releasing on Thursday, March 18, the film’s producer Anand Pandit was asked the burning question that where is Rhea?
In a recent statement to a leading daily, Pandit acknowledged Rhea’s absence and described it vaguely and said, “We did not react because we have decided not to talk about Rhea at this moment. We will answer questions regarding her at the right time. At this juncture, there is nothing more I can say.”

With Chehre, Rhea would have made a comeback of sorts after Jalebi and getting embroiled the case surrounding her boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput’s tragic and untimely death. After he died on June 14, 2020, Rhea was accused by his family of abetting his suicide. She has also been named in the chargesheet filed by NCB in the drugs case for procuring banned substances. Rhea spent a month in jail last year after the case was filed ad during NCB’s probe and was released on bail later. Now, the investigation agency has approached the Supreme Court to reject her bail application.
Chehre’s director Rumi Jaffery, who hinted at being a close aid of the couple, told an online portal last year that she has 'withdrawn' after the public backlash. He said, “She was withdrawn and quiet. Didn’t speak much. Can’t blame her after what she has gone through. Let the heat and dust settle down. I’m sure Rhea will have a lot to say.” Rumi has also been mum about Rhea's involvement in the project since the release of the poster. Chehre also stars Annu Kapoor, Krystle D’Souza, Dhritiman Chatterjee, Raghubir Yadav, and Siddhanth Kapoor in pivotal roles.
