Our Bollywood celebs are doing their most to help the people during the second wave of coronavirus pandemic in the country. Now, Mouni Roy and Sonu Sood have extended their support further.

Mouni Roy has been one of the few actresses who has always stood up and supported good causes. During this terrible pandemic, Mouni has been helping her fellow countrymen as much as possible. She has now taken to social media to talk about Mayapur, the head of the Iskcon Foundation, and how the small town in West Bengal is suffering due to the lack of medical facilities.

The people of the township along with the neighbouring areas are suffering as there are no functioning hospitals, oxygen cylinders, on-call doctors, and related medical supplies. The Iskcon Foundation is building up a medical facility at Mayapur which will help people suffering from Covid-19 to get proper medical attention. Mouni Roy has now donated in her own capacity to the Iskcon Foundation for this noble cause. She took to social media to share a video talking about the same.

Mouni Roy had also recently donated to the Give India Foundation for their great work towards helping people in need amidst this Covid-19 crisis. In her video, Mouni Roy also requested her fans and followers to spread the message and create awareness among people for donations towards the Iskcon Foundation. The more people come forward and donate to this noble cause, the better it is for the people suffering from the deadly disease. Mouni Roy feels that as human beings it’s our basic duty to help each other out in whatever way possible during these striving pandemic times. The link for donation is on her Instagram bio.

Sonu Sood to set up 2 Oxygen Plants at Kurnool and Nellore in Andhra Pradesh, followed by other states

Sonu Sood, with his philanthropic works amid the Covid-19 pandemic, is trying to help as many people as possible to pass through these terrible times with ease. Sonu had ordered oxygen plants & these plants would be installed at needy hospitals in different states, and the first two plants would be set up in Kurnool and Nellore, Andhra Pradesh simultaneously.

Sonu Sood and his team are now in the process of setting up an oxygen plant at Kurnool Government Hospital which will be followed by setting the next one at District Hospital, Atmakur, Nellore . He had already acquired the necessary permissions from the municipal commissioner, the collector, and the other relevant authorities. This plant is sure to help thousands of people living in Kurnool and Nellore and the neighbouring villages by providing oxygen to them during these desperate times of Covid-19.

Talking on the plant at Kurnool Government Hospital, the district collector S.Ramsundar Reddy IAS said, “We are really thankful to Sonu Sood for his humanitarian gesture. The oxygen plant arranged by him will help in treating 150 to 200 Covid patients at Kurnool Government Hospital every day.” Adding to that Sonu Sood said, “This is the need of the hour to improve the health care especially in the rural areas.  I feel these plants will help the needy people to fight Covid -19 bravely. After Andhra Pradesh, we will be setting few more plants in few more other states between June & July. Right now, we are identifying the needy hospitals of various states.” These oxygen plants at Kurnool and Nellore will be operational from June.
