Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon announce Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo Hindi remake titled Shehzada, film to release on November 4, 2022


On June 20, 2021, had exclusively informed its readers that Kriti Sanon is teaming up once again with Kartik Aaryan for Rohit Dhawan's Hindi remake of Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde's Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo titled Shehzada. Paresh Rawal has been signed to play Kartik's father and Manisha Koirala will also be seen in an important role. Today, the film was officially announced. 

Kartik shared the title of the film along with its release date. He wrote, "#Shehzada. Duniya ka Sabse Gareeb Prince (sic)" Shehzada will be an action-packed, musical, family film that will be shot over various schedules in Mumbai and Delhi in the next several months.

Producer Bhushan Kumar said, "I’ve been wanting to mount a big scale family action-packed musical film for a long time, I’m excited to be teaming up with Rohit Dhawan, Allu Arvind and Aman Gill on this film, I’m eagerly looking forward to the magic Kartik, Kriti, Pritam and the rest of the team will create in Shehzada." 

Producer Aman Gill added, "Rohit has been working diligently and passionately over the last year to mount Shehzada in the biggest possible way, we all are excited to back his vision in bringing this film to audiences on the big screen in theatres next year. Allu sir and I are very happy to collaborate with Bhushanji for this film."

Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo also starred Tabu, Jayaram and Nivetha Pethuraj in lead roles. The Trivikram Srinivas directorial film revolves around Bantu, a middle-class person who is often neglected by his father. Bantu's life turns upside down when he gets to know that he is the son of a businessman. An incident draws Bantu closer to reality and on learning the truth, he decides to meet his real parents and confronts those who threaten his family.
