After two months of lockdown, most of us have acquired new skills to keep one occupied. From virtual courses to cooking and baking, we've done it all!
Well, Dior has a surprising activity planned to keep our spirits up...online ballet lessons! Partnering with a number of Paris' most talented dancers, the fashion household has taken this initiative to 'awaken the senses lulled by lockdown'. Read on:
"This slice of escapism provides a compelling taste of the hypnotic discipline treasured by Monsieur Dior - who also notably costumed the Roland Petit ballet, 'Treize Danses'," explained a Dior spokesperson. "Take advantage of this opportunity to learn how to feel and respond to the music, how to improvise, and how to perfect some key positions.
The 18-minute dance class, suitable for any level, showcases Eleonora Abbagnato, a Paris Opera Ballet principal dancer and director of the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma ballet company, who leads the virtual demonstration. Exciting, innit?
