Welcome To The Blumhouse: Trailers of Priyanka Chopra Jonas' Evil Eye, Black Box, The Lie and Nocturne make for an engaging, spooky ride

Amazon Prime Video, on social media platforms, released the trailers of their upcoming films The Lie, Black Box, Nocturne and Evil Eye. The four films will be premiering under the Welcome To The Blumhouse series. Sharing the spine-tingling suspense that’s a Blumhouse signature, each film presents a distinctive vision and unique perspective on common themes centered around family and love as redemptive or destructive forces.

The first trailer is of the film Black Box. Directed by Emmanuel Osei-Kuffour Jr., the film stars Mamoudou Athie, Phylicia Rashad, Amanda Christine, Tosin Morohunfola, Charmaine Bingwa and Troy James. Black Box is about a young man who loses his wife and memory in a car accident. A single father, he undergoes an agonizing experimental treatment that causes him to question who he really is. The film will release on October 6, 2020.

The Lie revolves around two desperate parents attempting to cover up a crime committed by their teenaged daughter. This leads them into a complicated web of lies and deception. The film is written and directed by Veena Sud. The cast includes Mireille Enos, Peter Sarsgaard and Joey King. The film will release on October 6, 2020.

Evil Eye, produced by Priyanka Chopra Jonas tells the tale of a seemingly perfect romance that turns into a nightmare when a mother is convinced that her daughter’s new boyfriend has a dark connection to her own past. Directed by Elan Dassani and Rajeev Dassani, the film stars Sarita Choudhury, Sunita Mani, Omar Maskati and Bernard White. The film will release on October 13, 2020.

Nocturne, to release on October 13, 2020, is about a timid music student who begins to outshine her more accomplished and outgoing twin sister when she discovers a mysterious notebook belonging to a recently deceased classmate. Directed by Zu Quirke, the film stars Sydney Sweeney, Madison Iseman, Jacques Colimon and Ivan Shaw.
